My entry for TadPole Press
Hello readers!
TadPole Press has a yearly contest where you can submit a story of a 100 words or less. So that's what I did!
Curious? Read it down below!
He spoke and I closed my eyes.
Black.
But my fingers felt that my daughter's hair was soft and her cheeks chubby.
When the sun shone on us it would bathe my world in red and warm my skin.
When something startled me, I would see a flash of white.
When my brain was bored I would see colors and shapes.
But my brain forgot the color of my daughter's eyes.
When I wanted to brush her blonde locks, she whispered her hair was brown.
Her voice grew older.
But I could not open my eyes until He spoke again.
